APPLYING TO VISA
Students are responsible for applying and receiving visa, and abiding by immigration regulations. International Exchange Affairs Team will provide document for D-2-6 or D-2-8 visa directly to students via email.

Following information is general guideline, and the list of required documents can be different from the local embassy of Korea.
- Visa Application Form (www.HiKorea.go.kr, Favorite Services, Application Form)
- Passport (both original and photocopy)
- Color photo (3.5cm * 4.5cm)
- Photocopy of Business Registration Certificate of University (will be provided by Ewha)
- A Certificate of admission (will be provided by Ewha)
- Letter of Admission (download from application page)
- Documents proving your financial ability (amount to cover tuition fee and living expense)
- Documents proving family relations (for those who submit their parents' account balance statement ONLY)
- Both original and notarized Korean translation are required. Please indicate English name on the Korean version and enclose a photocopy of passport - Fee (please ask the Korean Embassy/Consulate at your home country)
- Medical Certificate for tuberculosis examination result (35 specific nationalities ONLY)

APPLYING FOR ALIEN REGISTRATION CARD (Foreigner Registration Card)
According to the Korean law, to reside in Korea for more than 3 months (90 days), you must have the foreigner registration card within 90 days upon your arrival in Korea. This permit is required regardless of your visa status, and it is to your advantage to make it as soon as possible.
When you leave Korea during the semester for a short period, you must bring your Foreigner Registration Card with you to maintain your D-2-6 or D-2-8 VISA for re-entry to Korea.
Office of International Affairs provides on-campus foreigner registration card application service, with prior notice at the beginning of semester. You may also apply for Foreigner Registration Card individually.

- Take subway line 5 and get off at Omokkyo station
- Follow the sign ‘To Seoul Immigration Office’ inside the station & take Exit No. 7
- Go straight for approximately 10 minutes and turn right at the 2nd interaction
- Go straight until you reach the three-way intersection and cross the street
- On your opposite side, you will see the gray building of the Seoul Immigration Office

RE-ISSUANCE OF LOST OR DAMAGED ALIEN REGISTRATION CARD (Foreigner Registration Card)
If your foreigner registration card is lost or damaged, you should apply for re-issuance of the lost or damaged card to a local or district immigration office having jurisdiction over the place of your stay, within 15 days since such events occur. You should also report changes of particulars of your foreigner registration card to a local or district immigration office having jurisdiction over the place of their stay, within 15 days since the changes occur.
RETURN OF ALIEN REGISTRATION CARD (Foreigner Registration Card)
Please remember to return your ARC to an immigration officer at the airport when leaving Korea, or when you acquire Korean nationality. As university will report your end of study, your foreigner registration card will lose effect and your visa will expire.

PART-TIME EMPLOYMENT
Application Eligibility
A D-2-6 visa holder who has studied for more than one semester in Korea (with official transcript) and is confirmed by a person-in-charge of the international student program.
The job starting date must be after the student obtains permission from the Immigration Office.
